VIDEO. Europa Park opens a “unique in the world” gourmet restaurant, with floating chairs and menus… from 200 euros

On November 4, 2022, “Eatrenalin” will open in Europa Park, an upscale restaurant where visitors will go to eleven rooms without moving from their chairs. An immersive experience, concocted by Spanish chef Pablo Montoro.

Right next to the Krønasår hotel and Rulantica, close to Europa Park (Germany), Eatrenalin, a new kind of restaurant, will open on November 4, 2022. Guests can enjoy eight courses or several glasses, in eleven different rooms. All without getting up from their chair.

The Europa-Park team does not hesitate to talk about the “restaurant of the future” : “We have developed a very interesting system, that of the “floating chair” (floating seats) . They take our customers to different culinary places. For example, you can dine on the moon or eat an Asian dish somewhere in Japan”explains Thomas Mack, managing partner of Europa-Park.

With Eatrenalin, eleven rooms are on the program, each with very different themes and atmospheres. For two hours, customers “float” from room to room, changing worlds approximately every twenty minutes. With a fairly expensive starting price : 195 euros. If you don’t see the video, you can discover it on our France 3 Grand Est YouTube channel.

Behind the stoves, we find the Spanish chef Pablo Montoro: “The most difficult thing about this project is to combine and mix technology with gastronomy. Because already cooking in a classic restaurant is difficult, so cooking in a technological concept like this is is very complicated!” The chef will be accompanied by Dutch sous-chef Ties van Oosten and Franco-Austrian pastry chef Juliana Clementz.

Several formulas, from 195 to 700 euros, are offered on the Eatrenalin ticket office website. Reservations are already open. Each evening, the restaurant will welcome up to twelve groups of sixteen people, from 6 p.m. to midnight (with a last group at 9:40 p.m.). The designers of the project intend to develop the concept all over the world, such as in Paris or Shanghai.
