The value of the Tesla Roadster reaches up to 200,000 euros on the collector’s market. The electric coupe benefits from the boom of Elon Musk’s brand.

After several years of shyness, the first Tesla Roadster of the name becomes a real collector’s item. While his successor is long overdue, the one whose value was struggling to take off a few years ago still attracts all the desires.

Before Covid-19, the few Tesla Roadsters that sold on second-hand sites were around 40,000 euros. Despite its rarity, with 2,450 examples between 2008 and 2012, speculation was not high on the model.

But that was without counting on the boom in electric cars and the Tesla brand. Already in 2020, its value was around 60,000 euros on average. But it was during this period of massive electrification that it totally exploded.

Thus, the average value of the Tesla Roadster is now 125,000 euros on the American market. At the beginning of the year, a copy of 2011 had even approached 200,000 euros.

In the spring, one of the first Roadsters manufactured by Tesla, one of the first 100 to leave the factory in 2008, even reached 212,000 dollars, or 210,000 euros. Given market dynamics and Tesla’s rating, prices for this Lotus-based coupe are unlikely to decrease in the future.
