This week on the menu, gratins and oven dishes are in the spotlight, like the iconic ratatouille, roast chicken with lemon, or the classic vegetable gratin. In terms of ingredients, more than ever, we are stocking up on fruits and vegetables (always in season), which perfectly meet the nutritional needs of our body, especially during this transition period with the fall season. In other words, everything to recharge your batteries at each meal, and feel in great shape during this month of recovery which can sometimes be more tiring than expected.
Friday, nothing like a meal in the colors of Latin America, to celebrate the arrival of the long-awaited weekend. On the menu ? Octopus tacos as main course, followed by leche asada, that Chilean dessert similar to flan. For the day on Saturday, we bet on oriental dishes, such as the gourmet Turkish boureks, or the famous North African shakshuka with eggs and tomatoes. And to end the week in style, let’s be tempted by a nice plate of roast chicken, in a sweet and salty version please!

My shopping list for the week
In the primeur department, the list is long this week. Tomatoes, zucchini, peppers, eggplant, cucumbers, carrots and potatoes will be on the vegetable side. For fruits, Mirabelle plums, peaches, apricots, blueberries, grapes, apples, figs, lemon and raspberries are to be slipped into our basket without restraint, in order to make the salads and desserts of the week.
As animal protein, we plan to buy cuttlefish, squid, octopus, but also duck breast and a piece of whole free-range chicken.
In the dairy department, we stock up on cheeses: feta, burrata, parmesan, fresh cheese and ricotta, but also mascarpone and coconut milk. Finally, we slip a beautiful bar of dark chocolate into our shopping cart to make the gourmet semi-cooked meals on Tuesday evening, without forgetting to restock (if necessary) the basics of pastry: eggs, butter, sugar and flour.
