Recently, the fast food chain marketed a Happy Meal for Adults with different toys than the children’s version. But this is a limited edition menu and therefore the toys will stop being offered in the menus. So inevitably, they are offered at excessive prices on e-commerce platforms like eBay.
a happy meal for adults
If the idea has something to smile about, know that this menu is a real hit in the United States. In fact, it is only offered within the restaurants located in the land of Uncle Sam. Unfortunately, we are not currently entitled to this famous XXL Happy Meal, offered with a choice of a Big Mac or a box of ten nuggets with a medium fries and a drink.
A toy is therefore provided inside the box and the customer can leave at random with a iconic figure of the fast food chain such as Hamburglar, Birdie or Grimace, or even Cactus Buddy, which is the result of a collaboration with the Cactus Plant Flea Market clothing brand. Since the Happy Meal for adults is not intended to remain in the catalog indefinitely, the toys will also disappear. So some customers offer these items at exorbitant prices.
Up to $300,000
Some owners of these famous toys therefore offer completely crazy prices on the eBay auction site. A lot of 150 sealed objects is offered for the sum of $2400which actually makes $16 per toy. If we greatly exceed the price of the menu, the sales confirmed on Ebay show that very few buyers are ready to pay pharaonic sums for this kind of toys.
A unique Cactus toy is also offered for sale for $25,000, but it is above all a pack of three toys including the Birdie, the Hamburglar and the Grimace which attracts our attention since this one is offered at $300,000.
We wonder who could spend such an amount on toys McDonald’s…
