Gastronomy: the best pastry chef in the world is Catalan

His establishment had already received the title of best restaurant in the world, now Jordi Roca has just been crowned best pastry chef of the planet. As reported by the Catalan daily Diari of Girona, the pastry chef was crowned at an event of the prestigious “World Pastry Stars” award in Milan, Italy. According to magazine Italian Gourmet, the presentation of the “WPS Grand Prix for the best pastry chef in the world” to the Catalan leader was followed by five minutes of applause.

Jordi Roca founded the famous restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, located in Girona, with his two brothers Joan and Josep in 1986. It was notably voted best restaurant in the world in 2013 and 2015.
