A gastronomic restaurant recognized well beyond the borders of the Pays de Herve, a reception hall that has seen a string of weddings and, now, a magnificent seven-room hotel with a view that is difficult to beat over a landscaped pond. We are at Aux Étangs, in Herve.
A few weeks ago, the prestigious establishment opened the doors of its hotel. A family dream that the Dumoulin family had nurtured for several years, confided to us the owner, Charly Dumoulin, at the start of the project.
The interior of the hotel is made up of seven rooms with a surface area varying between 28 m² for the smallest and almost 50 for the largest, which will serve as a suite with a whirlpool bath in particular. No room is identical to its neighbour.
It was the KHA architecture studio that worked with the Hervian establishment on this project. “The harmony between the structure and its environment is striking. The use of stone and Solis 54 Moka (Editor’s note: the type of wooden slats used) made it possible to find a balance between nature and durability”, rejoice the architects.
Each room has a private terrace installed above the pond with an idyllic view of it. With this hotel, the Étangs de la Vieille Ferme have a full service to accommodate newlyweds and their loved ones. They already have reception rooms, a restaurant, a catering service, entertainment and a huge park. And now, the bride and groom will also be able to spend their wedding night on site, with their relatives and witnesses, for example. An offer that will certainly be appreciated in the most popular season for getting married, between April and September.
